Over the years, our team at Solid State Networks (SSN) has worked closely with game studios, CDNs, and software companies to solve hard problems around large-scale software delivery. Through this work, we’ve had a front-row seat to how modern game development teams collaborate and how their needs continue to evolve.
One key learning stands out:
A studio’s latest game build isn’t just a deliverable. It’s the nucleus of team collaboration.
The interests of a game’s stakeholders—managers, contributors, partners, and publishers—all center around the build. It reflects a team’s most recent progress. Yet many studios still rely on disconnected tools and manual workflows to share builds and move work forward.
That gap led us to apply our deployment technology in new ways. At first, studios asked if they could use it for an “internal launcher.” What began as a custom solution gradually evolved, through steady demand, into a no-code SaaS platform.
They weren’t just asking for features. They needed a product.
Today, I’m excited to share that we’ve launched Solsta Inc. as a new, independently managed company.
Solsta was born inside SSN and shaped by leading game studios through real requests and hands-on feedback. It is built on the same proven technology our clients have trusted for years. Each studio pushed us to go further, until the next step became clear: Solsta needed to stand on its own.
Solsta reflects the momentum we’ve seen from teams solving the complex, evolving challenges of game development. This launch reinforces our commitment to advancing development technology with purpose, clarity, and focus.
SSN will continue to support its enterprise and gaming customers with the deployment solutions, service, and reliability that built our reputation. SSN also remains an authorized Akamai partner, providing access to enterprise-grade CDN, security, and edge solutions.
If you are a studio navigating frequent releases, external development, or distributed pipelines, we built this for you.
And we are just getting started.
